ABSTRACT
The purpose of this research is to develop an Instructional Development Institute (IDI) based learning model for Textile Knowledge course. This is a research & development research carried out at SMK (Vocational High School) Negeri 10 Medan. The object of the research is Textile Knowledge course and the subjects are all grade X students of Skin Care department of SMK Negeri 10 Medan. The result shows that: (1) subject matter expert assessed the model as very good (82.8%), (2) learning design expert gave a good qualification (80.7%), (3) small group trials was assessed as good (80.3%), (4) medium group trials was very good (91.25%), (5) large group trials was qualified as very good (91.25%), (6) student effectiveness test was scored 90.75%, (7) teacher effectiveness test was qualified as very good (92.8%). This shows that IDI- based learning model is effective and can be applied or further developed to Textile Knowledge course.
